Well, I believe it has to be a partnership for it to be effective - you lead in the airing of topics, areas on which you wish to focus and/or what you're looking to achieve. And I support you though a practical and empathetic approach, tailored to the situation and your need - be it more self-exploratory and discovery through coaching, seeking of opinion and advice though mentoring, or perhaps as a common-sense sounding-board through a hybrid approach.
As a trained coach, I can draw on outwardly simple but pragmatic and effective models to help us tackle as many of your topics or challenges as you wish in as many or few sessions as appropriate. However, regardless of model, we would typically focus on the future, exploring what you want to be/do/achieve, where you currently are and your feelings or any fears... and identifying options, plans, actions, and commitments. Of particular interest is identifying and unblocking any self-sabotaging gremlins that can limit or restrict your progress.
